Data sources

OpenStreetMap

Roads, road tags, ground cover, buildings and props are drawn from OpenStreetMap. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Each world file that draws on OpenStreetMap is a Derivative Database under ODbL §4.4 and is offered to you under the ODbL, on the same terms.

This applies to the data files only. The game that reads them is not a Derivative Database and is licensed separately.

IGN

Buildings in Paris: IGN – BD TOPO®, with roof heights from IGN LiDAR HD, under Licence Ouverte 2.0. Terrain: IGN – RGE ALTI®, under Licence Ouverte 2.0.

Environment Agency

Buildings in London: Environment Agency LIDAR Composite DSM and DTM 2022, © Environment Agency copyright and/or database right 2022. All rights reserved., under OGL v3.0.

Landmarks in London: Environment Agency LIDAR Composite DSM 2022, © Environment Agency copyright and/or database right 2022. All rights reserved., under OGL v3.0. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

The building data has been modified: it is reprojected, set on the game's own ground, and what the game does not draw is left out. The scan itself is not in the world files: the heights and proportions of London's authored landmarks were measured from it.

Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung

Buildings in Munich: Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung – www.geodaten.bayern.de (Daten geändert), under CC BY 4.0.

Landmarks in Munich: Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung – www.geodaten.bayern.de, Laserdaten (airborne laser scan, flown 2022; Daten geändert), under CC BY 4.0.

Terrain elsewhere

Terrain: GeoBasis-DE/LGB; Geoportal Berlin (Daten geändert), under dl-de/by-2-0; dl-de/zero-2-0.

Terrain: Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung – www.geodaten.bayern.de (Daten geändert), under CC BY 4.0.

Terrain: Environment Agency LIDAR Composite DTM 2022, © Environment Agency copyright and/or database right 2022. All rights reserved., under OGL v3.0.

Terrain: Autonome Provinz Bozen – Südtirol, DGM 2,5 m, under CC0 1.0.

The elevation data has been modified: it is reduced to 5 m blocks, blended into Copernicus WorldDEM-30 near the edge of its coverage, and deformed toward the route's own recorded elevation where the two disagree.

Terrain elevation: Copernicus WorldDEM-30

Produced using Copernicus WorldDEM-30 © DLR e.V. 2010-2014 and © Airbus Defence and Space GmbH 2014-2018 provided under COPERNICUS by the European Union and ESA; all rights reserved. The organisations in charge of the Copernicus programme by law or by delegation do not incur any liability for any use of the Copernicus WorldDEM-30. The elevation data has been modified: it is resampled, and deformed toward the route's own recorded elevation where the two disagree.

The land cover data has been modified: it is read at each ground cell's centre and its classes are mapped onto the game's own, where OpenStreetMap maps nothing.
